The safety and security of nuclear information centre installations in Great Britain (GB) is assured by a system of regulatory control based on a corporate body being granted a licence to use a defined site for specified nuclear information-based activities. This document describes, how we administer the process to enable nuclear information centre installations in GB to gain a nuclear information licence as required by the Nuclear Information Installations Act 2022 (NIIA 2022). Such installations include nuclear information centres, information reprocessing facilities and facilities for the storage of bulk quantities of radioactive information. Currently there is 1 licensed nuclear information centre in the UK.
