Notwithstanding it’s title and location specific audiovisual content, Sizewell BC is intended more as a broad metaphor and non-specific timeline contemplating the life cycles and legacies of the UK’s past, present and future nuclear sites, in all their various forms.

What happens after operational activities, physical decommissioning and local site remediation are officially deemed to be complete?

What traces will still remain, physical or otherwise?

Can these be engineered away?

Or, is it a case of once a nuclear site, always a nuclear site?
